Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken (about 3-4 lbs)
  • 8 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion diced
  • 2 carrots sliced
  • 2 celery stalks chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 bay leaf
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Marinate the Steak: In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger. Add the steak bites and marinate for 10 minutes.
  • Cook the potatoes: In a spacious skillet, warm olive oil over medium heat. Add the potatoes and cook until golden and crispy, about 10–12 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  • Sear the Steak: In the same skillet, add sesame oil. Remove the steak from the marinade (reserve the marinade) and sear until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  • Combine and Glaze: Return the potatoes to the skillet with the steak. Pour in the reserved marinade and cook for another 2-3 minutes until everything is well coated and heated through.
  • Garnish and Serve: Top with chopped green onions and sesame seeds. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • For a quicker version, use store-bought egg noodles.
  • Adjust seasoning to taste.
