Caprese Pasta Salad Recipe

Ingredients

  • 8 oz (2 cups) cooked pasta penne, fusilli, of bowtie
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini) halved
  • ½ cup fresh basil leaves, torn
  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic glaze
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Prepare the pasta as directed on the package. Once cooked, drain it and rinse under cold water to lower the temperature.
  • In a spacious bowl, mix the pasta with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil.
  • Add a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic glaze over the mixture. Gently toss to ensure all components are evenly coated.
  • Adjust the seasoning with salt and pepper according to your preference.
  • You may serve it right away or refrigerate it it for 20 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Add a pinch of garlic powder or red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
  • If you don’t have an alsamic glaze, use balsamic vinegar and a touch of honey.
