Ingredients

  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Finely ground Earl Grey tea leaves about 2 tea bags
  • 1 tablespoon Vanilla extract extract
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • ¼ tablespoon Salt
  • 1-2 tablespoon Sugar for sprinkling on top Optional

Instructions

  • Grind Earl Grey tea leaves finely if using tea bags, then cream softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
  • Mix in the ground tea leaves and vanilla extract, then gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
  • Shape the dough into a log, wrap it in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), slice the chilled dough into 1/4-inch rounds, and optionally sprinkle with sugar.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn golden brown, then allow to cool on a wire rack.
