Instructions
Grind Earl Grey tea leaves finely if using tea bags, then cream softened butter and powdered sugar until fluffy.
Mix in the ground tea leaves and vanilla extract, then gradually add flour and salt, mixing until just combined.
Shape the dough into a log, wrap it in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C), slice the chilled dough into 1/4-inch rounds, and optionally sprinkle with sugar.
Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn golden brown, then allow to cool on a wire rack.
