Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450g) large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the shrimp by lightly seasoning them with salt and pepper after patting them dry with paper towels.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat before cooking the shrimp. When the shrimp are pink and opaque, cook them for one to two minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  • Create the sauce by melting the butter in the same skillet. If using, add red pepper flakes and minced garlic. Sautéé for one to two minutes, or until fragrant.
  • Mix: Put the shrimp back in the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce made with garlic butter. Pour lemon juice over it and sprinkle parsley on top.
  • Serve: Accompany the dish right away with your preferred sides.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of butter.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the heat level.
