Ingredients
1 lb (450g) large shrimp peeled and deveined
4 tbsp unsalted butter
4 cloves garlicminced
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 tsp red pepper flakesoptional
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the shrimp by lightly seasoning them with salt and pepper after patting them dry with paper towels.
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat before cooking the shrimp. When the shrimp are pink and opaque, cook them for one to two minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
Create the sauce by melting the butter in the same skillet. If using, add red pepper flakes and minced garlic. Sautéé for one to two minutes, or until fragrant.
Mix: Put the shrimp back in the skillet and toss to coat them in the sauce made with garlic butter. Pour lemon juice over it and sprinkle parsley on top.
Serve: Accompany the dish right away with your preferred sides.
Notes
For a richer flavor, use ghee instead of butter.
Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the heat level.
