German Pancake Recipe
Fluffy and easy German pancake, or Dutch baby, perfect for breakfast or brunch with minimal ingredients.

- 3 large eggs
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract optional, for added flavor
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- Optional toppings: powdered sugar, fresh berries, maple syrup, lemon wedges
Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C) with a 10-inch oven-safe skillet inside.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs, flour, milk, salt, and optional vanilla until smooth and thin like crepe batter.
Remove the skillet, add butter, and swirl to coat.
Pour the batter into the hot skillet and bake for 20 minutes until puffed and golden.
Serve immediately with powdered sugar, fresh berries, maple syrup, or lemon juice.
For a slightly sweeter pancake, add 1 tablespoon of sugar to the batter.
