1Can of Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies10 oz
1Pound of ground beefor substitute with ground sausage for a twist
Diced onions, garlic powder chili powder for added flavorOptional
Instructions
Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned and fully cooked through. If you're using sausage, follow the same process. Drain any excess fat.
Add Velveeta and Rotel: Lower the heat to medium-low, and add the cubed Velveeta cheese to the skillet. Stir occasionally to help melt the cheese evenly.
Mix in the Rotel Tomatoes: Once the cheese starts to melt, stir in the can of Rotel diced tomatoes (undrained). Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are combined into a creamy, smooth dip.
Season (Optional): For a little extra flavor, add some garlic powder, chili powder, or diced onions. Adjust the seasonings to taste.
Serve Hot: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl or leave it in a slow cooker on a low setting to keep it warm throughout your event. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.
Notes
Spice Level: If you prefer a milder dip, use a can of mild Rotel tomatoes. For extra heat, try a can of Rotel Hot or add diced jalapeños.
